The Cumming Ceramic Research
Foundation provides an annual Scholarship of up to Cdn $2000
for original research regarding the history, development, technology,
style or use of British or European ceramics 1750-1950. Additional
grants may also be awarded.
The Foundation made its first awards in the Spring of 1993,
and subsequent awards have been made to researchers in England,
Wales, Ireland, the United States, New Zealand, Australia, and
Canada.
Scholarship Conditions:
The funds awarded by the Foundation must be for original research
on the history, development, style, or use of British or European
ceramics 1750-1950.
Travel and photography costs may be included.
A complete copy of the research work undertaken with the assistance
of the Foundation, whether published or not, must be forwarded
to the Foundation within three years of receipt of the award.
If the research is published, or utilized in symposia, The Cumming
Ceramic Research Foundation's contribution must be acknowledged,
and two copies of the publication given free of charge to the
Foundation.
More than one grant may be awarded each year, and applications
may be submitted annually.
Application Requirements:
To apply for The Cumming Ceramic Research Foundation Scholarship,
please submit the following:
- Curriculum vitae
- Two letters of reference
- A concise proposal, outlining the research project
- Budget
Applications must be received, at the address below, no later
than December 31st.
